Worst game in the last few years I would agree... But worst in history, not sure... did you ever played Studs on BBS's or even Lemonade...?

But I do agree that game seems.. weird.. if you have a problem, restart... easier that way

No one here is seriously suggesting a 100 lvl cap but maybe 5 lvls at expansion. Now as that is a year away yet, even the most slothfull character could handle that. With new zones maybe some day opening, and with harder mobs apparently in store, it will be either raise the cap or dumb down the mobs.I don't think most who advocate 20 lvls have really thought ahead.

why would you need to dumb down the mods? a group of 8 lvl20's should be able to pull and slay 3-4 lvl30+'s without a problem...remember the game is TEAM oriented.

The developers have the final say on what they will do about the level cap.
The cap isnt to tick off PVP'ers or PVE'ers. It is meant for people to stop working on being the highest level but having no skill. Even currently in GW, there are those that are lv 20 and still are awful players. Why should we want LVL 30/50/100's running around but have no idea what they are really doing or how to play.
You can reach lvl 20 realtivley easy enough. Working on getting your own personal build of skills to handle whatever comes your way is the idea focus.
They dont have to dumb down mobs. They dont already, IMO.

I know some Diablo players that won't play GW... they think the game was released unfinished because you can only go to level 20. I try to explain... I'd have better luck explaining Shroedinger's Cat to my greyhound.

Forget the levels. This isn't a game about levels.

Since I purchased GW, btw, I haven't played Diablo once. Don't miss it either.

you are joking

that includes the developers who built the foundation on level 20 just to keep new content on the same level so they could provide content that was better and more of it for people because they do not have to split theit efforts between different levels of content.

also if higher levels of content come out it immediately means everybody skips as much of the lower past content as the only place real players go is the highest level areas

it doesnt have to have a higher level number to be
new
fresh
innovative
challenging
fun
the only reason to increase it is bragging rights that i am better than the noob and my level number proves it.

one thing the level cap eliminates is the elitest jerk who has only a level number to prove he/she is superior

sorry i only read the op so if someone said this good for them, ill say it again.

raising the lvl cap makes a ton, A TON, of work theyd have to add more missions more skills to cap on the way, theyd have to make a whole new game basically it seeks like becuase think about all theyd have to do they have to adjust all the enemies i cant even get into it no way, i guess itd be cool if they raised it but u kno what theres so many lvl 20 pppl now then everyone would be lvl 40 before u knew it then ud want it raised again,

main point of message

everyone would be up to that new lvl right away garaunteed and they have to make a ton of stuff just for nothing.

I think the way it is its ok.

but expasion comming out in early 2006 they have to improve to get people to buy it.

i am sure they will increase the cap and add a couple new races, and of course armor weapons etc...

I hope there is a bit more imaginative story line coz this one was boring.

We keep forgetting thats this is a mainly a PvP/GvG game and not so much as a PvE, but 5-6 months until the expasion i am sure even the non PvE will get bored.

For me i cant wait for a good PvE to come out!

unless they for some reason add more skill lines in the futute where you would need more atribute points (which I dont see happening) I think 20 is just fine.

whether they change it or not doesnt make a big difference to me, i wish they would keep giving you levels when you get a skill point, but in number only, i dont want more attributes, just a number to look at, heck i would like to see how many monsters i have killed too, that would be neat, i dont want any more rewards for it, just some total i can see.

I'd say keep it at 20 ( voted).

I would hate to have to put hours more into leveling.
Plus, I hate grinding, wich happens on most games when leveling.

Regards, Ashleigh.

but if the total has no value then what is its significance other than to say "i've waste more of my life playing a video game than you have"
